If you are looking for natural ways to manage your health without added pills or products, as well as work on your relationship with food, consider scheduling an appointment. We work with patients to help them feel better overall, help them lose weight, and find ways to enjoy life without eliminating the foods they love or prescribing a restrictive diet.
Have you ever been told by your doctor that you need to lose weight, lower your cholesterol, or manage your diabetes, and you weren't sure where to begin? Is it a goal of yours to be able to cut back on some of your medication for diabetes or high blood pressure? Diet and lifestyle are at the forefront of treatment plans for many health conditions. At Manhattan Nutrition Clinic, we specialize in the science of nutrition to help with weight loss, lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, and managing blood sugar levels.
We work one-on-one with patients that have a variety of cardiovascular issues, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, elevated triglycerides, congestive heart failure, and coronary artery disease. We work closely with cardiologists and other heart specialists, so we know the importance of how nutrition impacts your heart and how it can improve your heart's health.
Blood sugar management is important for overall health. If you have diabetes or pre-diabetes, we can help lower your A1C and provide the tools you need to get your blood sugar under control. Our nutrition plans can also help with necessary weight-loss, another factor that can help those with diabetes or prediabetes to manage their health.
Have you struggled with trying different weight-loss diets, but feel like nothing has ever stuck? We work with patients to help them with sustainable weight loss while still fitting foods they enjoy into their diet. Each person's weight loss journey is different, and I customize my sessions so that you can keep the weight off for good.
"I absolutely love my time with Jordan! I feel completely safe and not judged which is important to me. Her advice and guidance has helped me continue to see her monthly. She takes my body measurements, and weigh in (my goal is to lose weight) and I was really struggling with my plateau. She helped me see progress is more than just what’s on the scale. Now I have something to be proud of in my measurements. This last meeting I lost 2 inches off my waist!! Definitely would recommend her to anyone looking for a start in managing any of your wellness needs!"

"I started seeing Jordan regularly in September 2020. She is a compassionate, knowledgeable nutritionist. She helped me formulate a plan for weight reduction and lowering my A1C based on what worked for me rather than a cookie cutter plan. She took time to learn my strengths and weaknesses and developed a plan that I have been able to use to modify my behavior over time with good results. Jordan also has a YouTube channel where she regularly posts content related to nutrition and controlling diabetes. I heartily recommend considering working with Jordan if you have weight or diabetic issues. I recommend her YouTube channel regularly to family and friends."

"I have been seeing Jordan Chen for help in learning to adopt a healthier and more nutritional style of eating. She has been very valuable in my personal journey of weight loss and healthier eating habits. Since I started seeing her, I’ve learned a lot about nutrition and have managed to lose and keep off 30lbs. She is very knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. I am glad I made the choice to see her and I highly recommend her!"
The Manhattan Nutrition Clinic offers medical nutrition counseling services for patients with a variety of medical diagnoses.

Jordan received her bachelor's degree at Kansas State University in 2015 and went on to receive her Master's degree at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2017. She had clinical training at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City before moving back to her hometown of Manhattan, Kansas.
Jordan founded Manhattan Nutrition Clinic on the principle to provide personalized nutrition for every patient. The clinic's specialties include weight loss, nutrition for cardiovascular disease, diabetes education, and food allergies and gastrointestinal issues.

For the initial assessment, I will dive deep into your medical history, goals, typical diet, current medications, sleep habits, and other factors that impact your diet and lifestyle. The session will be guided based on these answers. Follow-up sessions will be dependent on goals we set during the initial assessment. I often times track information such as weight, body composition, blood pressure, food diaries, etc., but it is very dependent on each person and their goals.
Cost varies patient to patient depending on insurance coverage and their diagnosis. We offer out-of-pocket rates as well, but it is dependent on each person's coverage and financial situation.
I am an in-network provider with many major commercial and state insurances, including BCBS, United HealthCare, Humana, Cigna, Medicare, and Tricare.
If you have Medicare part B or Tricare then a referral is needed. Commercial plans generally don't need a referral, but you can always double check.

Yes! Currently I can use any form of video or audio form to counsel patients on nutrition, but I have a HIPPA compliant telehealth service I use through my electronic health system.
